Take one carpet stair tread and carefully peel off the protective plastic backing from its underside, exposing the self-adhesive layer. Using the previously set marking guide or a measuring tape, align the tread precisely on the stair. Once satisfied with the placement, firmly press the tread down onto the stair surface. Use your hands to smooth out the entire surface of the tread, ensuring complete contact with the stair and removing any trapped air bubbles.
