Before applying the anti-slip stair tread, you need to prepare it for proper alignment. On the backing side of the anti-slip tread, either measure halfway across its width and place a mark using your pencil, or simply fold the tread in half temporarily to create a slight crease in the backing paper. This mark or crease will serve as the center guide for aligning the tread with the marked centerline on your stairs.
