Step 6 · Inspect and Replace Worn Parts

Carefully inspect the cartridge, O-rings, valve seats, and any other rubber or plastic components for wear, damage, or mineral buildup. Often, a worn O-ring or a damaged cartridge is the cause of a drip. Replace any worn parts with new ones that are compatible with your faucet model. Ensure you have the correct replacement parts before disassembling.
