Step 2 · Hand-Wash and Air-Dry Only

This is a critical step for ensuring the longevity and quality of your treads. Please, never put your Oak Valley treads in a washing machine. The intense agitation will damage the tread’s structure and destroy the special adhesive backing. Instead, simply use a clean, damp cloth with a small amount of mild detergent to spot-clean. After cleaning, lay the tread flat to air-dry completely. Reapplying a tread while it's still damp will prevent it from sticking securely, compromising its safety.
