Repair and Clean Up — Add the Finishing Touches
Part of project
Stair Tread Installation · Step 8 of 8
In this video
After all the new treads are installed, inspect the surrounding painted surfaces (like stringers and risers) for any scrapes or damage that occurred during the installation. Use spackle, such as DAP Fast Dry Premium Spackling, to fill any small holes or imperfections. Once dry, sand smooth, re-paint the repaired areas, and thoroughly clean the newly installed treads to remove any dust or debris. This completes the renovation.
