After the first coat has dried for 3 to 4 hours, lightly sand the surface again using 220-grit sandpaper. This step ensures an even finish and helps subsequent coats adhere properly. Remove all sanding dust using a lint-free clean cloth. Once clean and dry, apply a second thin coat of polyurethane following the same application method as the first. If a third coat is desired for enhanced durability, repeat the sanding and dust removal steps before applying the final coat. After the final coat, allow 24 hours for complete drying before light handling.
